This policy explains what information Vanguard IT Corp collects through this website, contact forms, support chat, iOS and macOS apps, and remote support tools.

Vanguard IT Corp provides IT consulting, managed support, cybersecurity, cloud, and remote support services. We collect only the information needed to respond to requests, deliver support, maintain security, operate the website, and provide our RD Admin and RD Client apps.

Information We Collect

  • Contact details you submit, such as name, email address, phone number, company, and message content.
  • Account and authentication details provided by our identity and remote-access systems, such as name, email address, company, role, authorization level, and sign-in status.
  • App and remote-access metadata, such as assigned hosts, host names, host groups, RustDesk IDs, device platform, app version, online status, last heartbeat, support-session status, session identifiers, and launch tickets.
  • Support chat intake details, chat messages, timestamps, and support-session identifiers.
  • Remote support details needed to help with a requested session, such as device or session identifiers shown by the support tool.
  • Diagnostic and security logs generated by the website, apps, RD Hub, and remote support systems.
  • Basic website and server logs, such as IP address, browser type, requested pages, referrer, and request time.
  • Cookie or local-storage preferences used to remember website choices and support-chat state in your browser.
  • If an app requests camera or photo-library access for QR code scanning or import, the selected image or camera view is used for that feature and is not collected by Vanguard IT unless you submit it as part of a support request.

How We Use Information

  • Respond to questions, quotes, and support requests.
  • Authenticate app sessions, keep authorized users signed in on their device, show permitted hosts and support sessions, and launch remote connections.
  • Create, continue, and manage support sessions.
  • Route support requests through internal tools such as Microsoft Teams and email.
  • Verify authorization, maintain audit records, detect abuse, and protect client systems.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the website and support systems.
  • Keep records needed for service quality, security, and business operations.

iOS And macOS Apps

RD Admin and RD Client use browser-based sign-in. After sign-in, the apps may store session tokens, account settings, and app preferences locally on the device, including secure platform storage where available, so you do not have to sign in every time. The apps do not use your information for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Sharing And Service Providers

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers that help us operate the site and provide support, including hosting providers, identity providers, RD Hub and remote-access infrastructure, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, email delivery, logging, and remote support systems. Apple may process information under its own terms and privacy policies when you install or use our apps through Apple services. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect our systems, clients, users, or business.

Cookies And Local Storage

The website uses browser storage to remember cookie choices and support-chat session metadata. The apps use local device storage for sign-in state, settings, and permitted host or session views. Chat transcripts are stored server-side so support staff can respond and continue a session. You can clear browser storage in your browser settings, sign out of the apps, delete the apps, or ask us to revoke access, but doing so may reset local website preferences, chat state, or app sign-in state.

Data Retention And Security

We keep information for as long as needed to provide services, maintain support history, satisfy operational requirements, or comply with legal obligations. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet or remote support system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Your Choices

You can choose not to submit a contact form or start a support chat. You may request access, correction, or deletion of information you provided, subject to operational, security, legal, and service-record limits.

Children

The website, apps, and remote support services are intended for business users and are not directed to children.
